What Kinds of Cases Does Morrison LLP Take?

What Information Will I Need to Provide the Lawyer?

Typically we need to know the following information before booking a full consultation:

  • Your name and the opposing party’s name.
  • Your previous lawyer’s name, and the opposing lawyers.
  • Your basic contact information, including your address, phone number, and email.
  • The date and location of any upcoming court appearances.
  • Copies of any pleadings, ie. documents filed with the Court such as a Statement of Claim or an Affidavit.
  • A brief summary of your legal issues and the events that led to the dispute.
  • Your disclosure, which includes all the documents that are relevant to your case.  Your lawyer will explain which documents they need.

Once you have spoken with our receptionist, they will forward your information to one of our lawyers.  If we believe that we can help you then we will call you back and schedule an in-person meeting or telephone meeting.

What Documents Will I Need for the Consultation?

Before retaining us, you will need to provide the following documents:

  1. Two pieces of identification, one of which must have a photograph.
  2. A method of payment for our retainer and ongoing legal fees.
