Spencer Morrison B.A., J.D., was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Ancient and Medieval History. He graduated with the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2018, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019, having articled at CBH Family Law Group, one of Edmonton’s premier family law firms.
Spencer is a founding partner of Morrison LLP, along with his brother, Dylan Morrison.
Spencer has advocated for clients in the Alberta Court of Justice, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador. Spencer practices primarily as a divorce litigator, family mediator, and corporate solicitor. In addition to being a lawyer, Spencer is a Practicing Mediator with the Alberta Family Mediation Society.
Spencer is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association. Spencer volunteers to provide free legal advice for low income Albertans on the first Wednesday evening of every month with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre. Spencer is a Sessional Instructor with the University of Alberta Faculty of Law, teaching Morrison LLP Family Law Moot—a litigation competition with the largest cash prize in Canada.
Spencer is the author of Reshore: How Tariffs Will Bring Our Jobs Home & Revive the American Dream, and a columnist with Blaze Media and American Greatness. His writing has been featured on major international publications including the BBC, Real Clear Politics , the Daily Caller, the National Economics Editorial, the Western Journal, the American Thinker, and the Foundation for Economic Education.
