Spencer P. Morrison

Spencer Morrison B.A., J.D., was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.  After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Ancient and Medieval History, Spencer employed himself as a businessman and stock trader.  He graduated with the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2018, and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019, having articled at CBH Family Law Group, one of Edmonton’s premier family law firms.

Spencer has advocated for clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.  Spencer’s legal practice focuses primarily in the area of divorce, family law, and child welfare.  Spencer is an active member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.  Spencer also volunteers to provide free legal advice for low income Albertans on the first and third Wednesday evening of every month with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.  Spencer accepts clients who are on Legal Aid.

In addition to being a lawyer, Spencer is a Practicing Mediator with the Alberta Family Mediation Society.

In his spare time Spencer enjoys working in the garden, cooking for his friends and family, and reading the classics.  Spencer is a syndicated writer with expertise in politics, history, and economics.  His work has been featured on major international publications including the BBC, Real Clear Politics, and the Foundation for Economic Education.
